Quality Engineer

Carmichael UK are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to work on the HS2 project in the Buckingham area.

This is a long-term opportunity on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, supporting the delivery of key structural works.

• Operate and maintain the project’s Quality Management System.

• Carry out audits in line with the Audit Schedule and close out findings.

• Review and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), including those of subcontractors.

• Support delivery teams to achieve progressive sign-off of ITPs.

• Inspect delivered materials and manage certification and approvals.

• Review Lifetime Quality Records and assist with handover packages.

• Provide training and mentoring on quality processes.

• Investigate NCRs, identify trends, and drive corrective actions.

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer on civil engineering or structures projects.

• Strong knowledge of quality systems, audits, and inspection processes.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support project teams.

• HS2 or major infrastructure project experience desirable.
