Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (flexible working hours available)

We are a well-established European manufacturing business with our headquarters in High Wycombe, supplying high-quality engineered products to customers across multiple international markets. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to strengthen our Quality team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a manufacturing or engineering background who enjoys solving technical problems, improving processes and working closely with both customers and suppliers to deliver exceptional quality standards.
The Role
As Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development, approval and continuous improvement of products across the Group. You will investigate quality issues, coordinate inspection activities, support product approvals and help ensure our products consistently meet customer and industry requirements.
Working closely with internal departments, suppliers and customers, you'll become a vital part of our quality function, helping to drive improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve product quality issues with customers and suppliers
- Coordinate and review the Quarantine Register
- Raise, manage and update customer and supplier quality claims
- Review and maintain technical drawings
- Coordinate product testing, analysis and sample approval processes
- Support the APQP process, including contract reviews and feasibility studies
- Prepare and maintain PPAP and FAIR documentation and records
- Attend global quality meetings with international colleagues
- Maintain and coordinate the engineering drawing register and approval process
- Collate technical data to support product approvals
- Support customer visits and assist in resolving technical issues
- Identify training requirements and provide guidance to Quality Inspectors
- Coordinate the inspection team and inspection processes across the Group
Continuous Improvement
- You'll also be responsible for helping drive quality improvements by:
- Following company policies, procedures and quality standards
- Promoting 6S and FOD awareness
- Reducing product claims and customer queries
- Maintaining accurate product and technical databases
- Ensuring high standards of product inspection throughout the business
- Keeping customers and colleagues informed throughout the resolution of quality-related issues
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering quality environment
Knowledge of fasteners and precision measuring equipment (preferred)
Experience using structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D, 5 Why and Ishikawa (Fishbone) analysis
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Experience using CAD software (preferred)
Excellent attention to detail
A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
Good understanding of manufacturing processes
Confidence working with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams
