Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Location: Telford / Hybrid - 2 days per week onsiteRate: 430 per day inside IR35Contract: 6 monthsClearance: BPSS eligibleWe are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a major public sector modernisation programme.The successful candidate will be a key member of the Scrum team, taking ownership of quality across the development lifecycle and helping to embed a Quality Engineering and shift-left approach.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement automated test solutions and frameworks, often from scratch.Apply structured testing approaches aligned with TDD/BDD.Develop and maintain automated testing throughout the CI/CD lifecycle.Apply risk-based testing and effective test design techniques.Ensure applications are built with automation and testability in mind.Test across Unit, System, Functional and Integration levels.Support NFR testing including performance, accessibility and security.Work with databases and test data creation/management.Analyse complex business requirements, processes and technical architectures to develop effective test solutions.Coach and upskill developers and wider engineering teams on quality practices.Work collaboratively with developers, including through pair programming.Support manual testing where automation is not appropriate.Ensure testing collateral is maintained to a high standard.Engage with stakeholders and contribute to a strong quality-focused culture.Essential SkillsStrong experience as a Quality Engineer, ..... full job details .....
