If you''ve ever walked around a major supermarket or high street retailer and looked at the shelving, display units, entry systems and shopfitting around you, you''ll have a good idea of the kind of products you''d be working on.What the role involvesYou''ll be responsible for quality inspection and testing across a busy and varied product pipeline, checking finished articles against specification, conducting spot checks on ongoing supply and getting out to manufacturer sites to assess quality at source.Day to day you could be involved in:Inspecting products for quality of welding, paint finish, woodwork, fastenings and surface finishBuilding and running physical tests including topple testing, weight loading, push and pullDeveloping and documenting test methods in line with relevant British StandardsVisiting manufacturers to check quality at source and provide direct feedbackSupporting the team in building out quality processes within a young and growing departmentManaging multiple projects ..... full job details .....
