We are a specialist recruitment agency partnering with a leading civil engineering contractor to source an experienced Quality Engineer for a major infrastructure project based in Sizewell, Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-term, high-profile scheme, offering strong continuity of work and excellent day rates.

The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the quality assurance process across site operations. You will ensure that all works are completed in line with project specifications, with accurate documentation and in accordance with agreed timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support site teams with accurate record keeping and document control for all quality inspections
  • Coordinate with Site Engineers to ensure timely and accurate QA documentation
  • Collate and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) with internal teams and subcontractors
  • Compile and manage O&M manuals and LTQR (quality packs) for client submission
  • Maintain and report on monthly KPIs related to quality performance
  • Ensure compliance with the Project Quality Plan and internal quality procedures
  • Assist with Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) processes
  • Track, manage, and collate handover documentation to support final project delivery
  • Maintain awareness of environmental and health & safety standards across site operations
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
About You
  • Proven experience within Construction or Civil Engineering environments (essential)
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes within large-scale projects
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance requirements
  • Good understanding of plant and site operations
  • Experience managing documentation, workflows, and material logistics
  • Ability to work proactively and adapt to changing site conditions
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • Valid CSCS Card
