Job Title: Quality Coordinator
Location: Crewkerne, Somerset
Salary: £30,(Apply online only) per annum

Full-Time | Perm - 40 hours per week 

My client in Crewkerne is looking for a Quality Coordintor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for Quality. 

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Quality, the Quality Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the effective operation and administration of the Quality Management System (QMS). This is a highly administrative and coordination-focused role, with responsibility for maintaining quality records, processes and data, while working closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Maintain and control QMS documentation in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Ensure records are accurate, up to date and correctly filed

Internal Audits

  • Support the planning and coordination of internal audits
  • Assist with audit delivery and ensure compliance with QMS requirements

Goods Inwards Quality

  • Manage administrative aspects of goods-in quality processes
  • Review Certificates of Conformance (CoC), documentation and traceability records
  • Support inspection activities where required

Calibration System Administration

  • Coordinate calibration schedules and maintain accurate equipment records
  • Ensure all measurement and test equipment is compliant and audit-ready
  • Monitor calibration status and escalate any risks or overdue items

Customer Returns & Non-Conformances

  • Provide administrative support for returns and non-conformance processes
  • Track issues, actions and outcomes accurately

ISIRs & Part Qualification

  • Support documentation and coordination of ISIR and part qualification activities
  • Maintain accurate records and approvals

Quality Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Collate and report on KPIs and quality metrics
  • Maintain quality data, reports and action logs
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain structured records
  • Comfortable working within defined processes and supporting senior quality staff

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a Quality Management System
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Exposure to audits, calibration systems or quality reporting

Development & Progression:
This role offers structured development under the guidance of the Head of Quality, with increasing responsibility as training and competency grow.
