Job Title: Quality Coordinator
Location: Crewkerne, Somerset
Salary: £30,(Apply online only) per annum
Full-Time | Perm - 40 hours per week
My client in Crewkerne is looking for a Quality Coordintor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for Quality.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Quality, the Quality Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the effective operation and administration of the Quality Management System (QMS). This is a highly administrative and coordination-focused role, with responsibility for maintaining quality records, processes and data, while working closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS)
- Maintain and control QMS documentation in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Ensure records are accurate, up to date and correctly filed
Internal Audits
- Support the planning and coordination of internal audits
- Assist with audit delivery and ensure compliance with QMS requirements
Goods Inwards Quality
- Manage administrative aspects of goods-in quality processes
- Review Certificates of Conformance (CoC), documentation and traceability records
- Support inspection activities where required
Calibration System Administration
- Coordinate calibration schedules and maintain accurate equipment records
- Ensure all measurement and test equipment is compliant and audit-ready
- Monitor calibration status and escalate any risks or overdue items
Customer Returns & Non-Conformances
- Provide administrative support for returns and non-conformance processes
- Track issues, actions and outcomes accurately
ISIRs & Part Qualification
- Support documentation and coordination of ISIR and part qualification activities
- Maintain accurate records and approvals
Quality Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Collate and report on KPIs and quality metrics
- Maintain quality data, reports and action logs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain structured records
- Comfortable working within defined processes and supporting senior quality staff
Desirable:
- Experience working within a Quality Management System
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Exposure to audits, calibration systems or quality reporting
Development & Progression:
This role offers structured development under the guidance of the Head of Quality, with increasing responsibility as training and competency grow.
