About the role
Quality checkers are people with lived experience of learning disabilities and/or autism. The role involves visiting people supported by Certitude and offering feedback on the support they receive. The Quality Checkers will do this alongside the Quality Check co-ordinator.
Duties will include:
- Finding out from people what they think of the support they get.
- Providing feedback on the places Certitude provides support.
- Creating reports and feeding information back to the wider organisation.
- Attending team meetings, one-to-ones, training and annual reviews.
- Assisting in the creation of Quality Checking tools and training materials.
- Representing Certitude at external events.
- Supporting the training and development of a variety of professionals to improve knowledge and understanding of how the support they provide could be enhanced.
About you
To be a Quality Checker, you will need to:
- Enjoy meeting people.
- Be Passionate about people’s rights.
- Be a good listener and be able to ask questions.
- Be able to assess and give an opinion.
- Have lived experience of having a learning disability and/or autism.
- Have lived experience of support.
- Be willing to travel to different places.
You will be given training, development and coaching to help you feel confident in providing great support and to help you advance in your career.
