About the Role
A Quality Auditor is sought by a food products manufacturer for its Bilston site, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am until 6pm on the AM shift. This permanent, full-time post pays £13.43 hourly plus benefits. Based within the Technical Team, the successful candidate prevents manufacturing errors that cause product defects. Duties include raw material checks, entering information into an online system, traceability exercises, and verifying label placement and accuracy. All quality assessments must meet customer specification, with any non-conformance reported promptly to the relevant Section Manager. Quality Auditor sought by a £multimillion pound food products manufacturer to join their team in Bilston on the AM shift: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6pm.
The Role:
As a Quality Auditor you will be working as part of the Technical Team, preventing errors in manufacturing or production that lead to product defects.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all quality checks are carried out to the correct customer specification and any non-conformances are reported immediately to the relevant Section Manager, as well as ensuring due diligence, product safety and quality in all relevant departments.
As a Quality Auditor, your duties will include:
- Raw material quality checks.
- To input data into the online system
- Carry out traceability checks
- Verify label placement and information accuracy
- Ensure compliance with HACCP procedures
- Carry out Critical Control Point (CCP) checks
- Completing paperwork to a high level of accuracy, recording daily QA tasks
- Identifying and reporting any quality, food safety or compliance issues to QA Team Leader and QA Manager
- Audit quality checks
- Daily checks of factory processes and procedures to ensure compliance and adhere to good manufacturing practices
- Carry out verification checks of calibration of measuring equipment
- Investigate complaints and resolve issues
- Collecting and collating samples for testing
Your experience as Quality Auditor:
- Experience in quality assurance or auditing within a manufacturing or food production environment is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in quality management or auditing are desirable.
- £13.43 per hour
- Overtime rate: £16.79 per hour (after 42 hours)
- Bank holiday rate: £20.15 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm
