Overview

Rhondda Cynon Taf are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Officer to support commissioned Flying Start Childcare providers to embed the Welsh Government Flying Start childcare guidance ensuring that high quality provision is delivered across the County Borough.Responsibilities

Implement the Service’s Childcare Quality Assurance Framework, ensuring Flying Start childcare delivered by approved external providers consistently meets high standards.Offer direct support to Flying Start settings and provide expert guidance to the Children and Communities Commissioning Team to evaluate the quality of provision and inform commissioning decisions.Design and deliver training packages that support the continued professional development of the Flying Start Childcare workforce.Qualifications / Requirements

Externally funded post until 31 March 2028.Subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff; safeguarding responsibilities apply to this role.Commitment to equality and safeguarding; includes support for Welsh language and guaranteed interview for Welsh-speakers of Level 3 and above.Armed Forces pledge: applicants who identify as Service Leavers, Veterans or Reservists and meet essential criteria will be offered an interview.Contact
