Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client, a well-established and growing contractor, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their Sizewell C project team in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of high-profile projects, ensuring quality standards are achieved and comprehensive project records are maintained throughout the construction lifecycle.
The successful candidate will have a background in construction or civil engineering and will be passionate about quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
The Role
As Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting project teams with quality management processes, documentation control, and handover requirements. Working closely with site engineers, subcontractors, and operational teams, you will help ensure projects are delivered in line with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project teams with quality inspections, record keeping, and document control activities.
- Coordinate with site engineers to ensure all quality-related documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Manage and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) alongside engineering teams and subcontractors.
- Compile and coordinate quality documentation, including O&M manuals and Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs), for client submission.
- Produce and maintain monthly quality KPI reports.
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing compliance of Project Quality Plans.
- Ensure adherence to project-specific quality procedures and standards.
- Support the management of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and associated corrective actions.
- Track, collate, and manage project handover documentation.
- Promote awareness of environmental, health, safety, and quality requirements across project teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional duties as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within the construction or civil engineering sector.
- A strong understanding of quality assurance processes and documentation management.
- Knowledge of construction-related Health & Safety legislation.
- Good understanding of construction plant and site operations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to work proactively and use your initiative in a fast-paced project environment.
- A methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Valid CSCS Card.
