Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing of safety-critical mechanical products, is looking for a talented Quality & Design Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team in Blyth. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who thrive in a hands-on role, with an exciting 50/50 split between design engineering and quality assurance!

What You''ll Do:

Design Engineering (50%)

  • Create, modify, and maintain 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks (essential!).
  • Support new product development and manage engineering changes.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and fit for purpose.
  • Provide technical input to meet customer and application requirements.

Quality Engineering (50%)

  • Support and enhance quality processes across manufacturing operations.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Work alongside the Quality team to maintain ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Produce technical reports, documentation, and conduct root-cause analysis.

About You:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Design, or a similar field.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks - your expertise is essential!
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • A genuine interest in both design and quality engineering.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 / ISO14001 is a plus, but don''t worry if you''re not familiar - training will be provided!
  • You''re organised, proactive, and comfortable collaborating across various functions.
