Quality Advisor
Group Quality and Improvement Advisor
Home-Based | Midlands | Infrastructure Services
A group-wide Quality and Improvement role for someone who wants to be visible across operational sites and depots, not just reviewing systems from behind a desk.
This is a home-based position covering the Midlands, supporting a large infrastructure services group with auditing, assurance and business improvement across its operational businesses. You’ll spend time with depot and site teams, completing audits, identifying areas for improvement and helping make processes more consistent across the group.
The role offers the chance to develop within a larger organisation while working closely with operational teams, managers and the wider safety, sustainability and quality function.
The business is open on level. This could suit someone with early quality, audit or assurance experience who wants to develop, or someone already working in a similar role who enjoys being out in the business and helping improve how things are done.
The Role
You’ll support the audit and assurance programme across operational sites and depots, with travel driven by the audit schedule.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Completing audits across depots, sites and operational teams
- Supporting assurance across ISO standards and internal management systems
- Working with depot teams to identify issues and agree practical improvements
- Supporting external audits, customer audits and accreditation requirements
- Helping improve consistency across documentation, processes and local ways of working
- Contributing to management reviews and wider quality improvement activity
- Building relationships with operational teams, managers and wider stakeholders
- Sharing learnings and supporting improvement across the group
About You
The role would suit someone with experience in quality, auditing, assurance, compliance or business improvement who enjoys working with people and operational teams.
You will ideally have:
- Experience completing audits in an operational environment
- Exposure to ISO standards, management systems or internal auditing
- Lead Auditor qualification preferred, although this is not mandatory
- Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships across different sites
Relevant backgrounds could include infrastructure, construction, transport, logistics, manufacturing, utilities, rail, energy or similar operational environments.
What’s On Offer
- Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience
- £6,000 car allowance
- Home-based role covering the Midlands and North
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Additional day off for your birthday
