Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs?

Academics are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with SEND within a primary school in the Warrington area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA or education professional who can build positive relationships, adapt their approach and provide consistent, individualised support to help a child thrive in the classroom.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support the child''s learning, development and engagement.

You will need to be confident adapting activities and your approach to suit the individual needs of the child, while creating a calm, positive and supportive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant education qualification
• Has previous experience working in a school or classroom environment
• Has experience supporting children with SEND or additional needs
• Is confident providing 1:1 support
• Is patient, caring and understanding
• Is adaptable and flexible in their approach
• Can remain calm and positive when faced with challenging situations
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection
• Works well as part of a wider school team
• Is reliable, professional and committed to supporting children''s development
