Job Description
TeacherActive is currently recruiting Qualified Teachers to work across a variety of welcoming and supportive primary and secondary schools in Basildon and surrounding areas.

All applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. This is an essential requirement for the role.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers who can deliver high-quality lessons, inspire learners, and contribute to positive outcomes across either primary or secondary education. Secondary school roles may be subject-specific depending on experience and specialism.

As a Qualified Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, and creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that enables all students to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
• For secondary roles, teach a subject specialism in line with your expertise

Requirements

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK (essential)
• Experience teaching in UK primary or secondary schools (preferred)
• Strong classroom management skills
• Passion for education and pupil development
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
• Subject specialism required for secondary school roles (where applicable)
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
