Qualified Social Worker - Permanence team

Our client Leicestershire county council is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Permanence team.Job PurposeTo work collaboratively with children, young people and their families in accordance with the aims and objectives of the department.Use judgement, knowledge and the skilled use of authority to intervene with families to promote safety, stability and success.To build productive working relationships with children, young people and families so we can hear and understand what they want to happen to make their lives better.Evaluate our practice and its impact and how we improve outcomes for those with whom we work.ResponsibilitiesWork within Leicestershire''s practice framework and apply Leicestershire''s practice standards and proceduresWork collaboratively and in partnership with families, enabling them to care for their children - at all times ''working with'' - not ''doing to''.Work cooperatively with children''s services, health agencies and other community services to provide the most effective care for children, young people and their families and within their communities.Seek and use supervision and other professional support to ensure critical reflection and use of analysis are integrated with professional judgement and reasoned discernment.
