Qualified Social Worker - Kinship Fostering
Our client Shropshire Council is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Kinship Fostering team.You will be supporting children to remain safely within their family networks wherever possible. You will play a key role in achieving permanency for children through timely, high-quality assessments and strong relationship-based practice.Key Responsibilities Complete Form K assessments to assess connected persons as foster carers.Undertake viability assessments to inform early permanence planning.Carry out SGO assessments, including support plans and court reports.Provide regular supervision and support to approved kinship foster carers. Support carers to manage placement challenges, contact arrangements, and transitions to permanence.Work closely with children''s social workers and multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated care planning.
