Qualified Social Worker - Children in Need

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker - Children in Need within the Social Care industry in Bedford Council

Responsibilities include:

• Ability to undertake complex social work assessments
• Experience of formulating support, protection and care plans
• Ability to negotiate with colleagues and partner agencies to resolve differences of opinion
• Ability to build effective, long lasting relationships with a range of service providers both from statutory and voluntary agencies
• Detailed knowledge of the Children''s Act 1989
• Detailed knowledge of the "Framework for the Assessment of Children and Their Families"
• Attending court and giving evidence when required
• Initiating and implementing child protection plans
• Managing packages of care
• Undertaking parenting and risk assessments

Experience preferred:

• Post qualifying experience of working within a statutory Children in Need or Child Protection Team within the UK Social Care industry.

The team:

• Well-structured organised team, growing their social worker staffing levels.

Minimum Requirements:

• SWERegistration
• 5 year post qualifying experience within UK
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to work in the UK
