Qualified Social Worker, Adoption Team, Lincolnshire Council Pay rate to £29.98 per hourContract roleVitalis are recruiting for experienced Social Worker to work in an Adoption Team in Lincolnshire Council.This is a role in the Adoption service of Lincolnshire County Council. The office base can be Lincoln, Sleaford or Louth and the candidate would be expected to work from the office at least twice a week. This role will be mainly completing assessments and supporting prospective adoptive parents and families in need of post adoption and SGO support. We are a busy team, managing adoption and SGO services across the large county of Lincolnshire, so travel is required. A skilled and experienced social worker, you will need to have excellent time management skills, be an analytical report writer and have safeguarding children at the heart of everything you do. Experience in the field of adoption would be preferable, as a supervising social worker or in post adoption support or kinship support role. Experience of presenting at panel, attending court, making and maintaining relationships with adoptive parents, and understanding the trauma and attachment needs of children who cannot live within their birth families is paramount. Having therapeutic experience or qualifications would be a benefit. An understanding of the adoption agency regulations and the Adoption Support Services Regulations 2005 is crucial.
