Qualified SENCO (1 Day per Week) - Specialist SEN School in Erdington Location: Erdington, Birmingham Start Date: As soon as possible Working Pattern: 1 day per week (Tuesday or Thursday) Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience Contract Type: Ongoing / Part-TimeA specialist SEN school in Erdington, catering to students aged 11-16 with a range of complex learning needs, is seeking a qualified SENCO to join their dedicated team on a part-time basis.This is a fantastic opportunity for a knowledgeable SEN professional who is passionate about inclusive education and is looking to contribute their expertise in a supportive, specialist environment without a full-time commitment.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage SEN provision as a Qualified SENCO across the school in Erdington, in line with statutory requirementsCoordinate and review EHCPs in collaboration with teaching staff, families, and external professionalsSupport teachers with effective strategies and resources for meeting the diverse needs of studentsEnsure accurate SEN record-keeping, monitoring, and reportingWork closely with the senior leadership team to drive inclusive practice and continuous improvementThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)Proven experience in a Qualified SENCO role, ideally within a specialist or secondary settingStrong knowledge of EHCP processes and current SEN legislationExcellent communication, leadership, and organisational skillsA ..... full job details .....
