Adapting secondary curriculum, writing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and foster independence, life skills and social skills within special schools or alternative provisions/ mainstream units. Key Responsibilities: Lesson Planning and Adapting standard curriculum to break down complex concepts into small manageable steps to suit individual learning styles. Plan Management - Write, monitor and review individualised support plans (EHCP/ IEP) Progress tracker / assessments - Track student attainments, mark work and maintain detailed records of academic and personal growth. Behaviour support - Implement positive behaviour management, de-escalation strategies and emotional support networks to foster a safe and supportive classroom environment. Strong collaboration - liaising with parents, guardians, specialised practitioners/ therapists, psychologists and social workers. Organise trips, attend workshops and training.
