We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of our students, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education. You will be involved in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals or small groups, as well as assessing, recording, and reporting on students’ progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Learning: Assist teachers in the delivery of the curriculum by planning and delivering lessons to small groups or individuals, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging all students to engage with their studies and participate fully in school life.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Monitor student progress, assess work, and provide feedback to teachers, parents, and students to support ongoing learning.
  • Classroom Management: Support classroom management, ensuring a safe and orderly environment that promotes learning.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and to contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or equivalent is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Commitment: A passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
