Description

Provide general assistance to the accounting and finance team as needed. As an Accounts Senior / Part-Qualified Accountant, you will manage a varied portfolio of general practice work and develop strong relationships with owner-managed business clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies
• Preparing corporation tax returns and self-assessment tax returns
• Completing VAT returns and monthly or quarterly accounting assignments
• Supporting owner-managed businesses with ongoing accounting requirements
• Working with cloud accounting platforms including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
• Using IRIS or similar practice software for accounts and tax preparation
• Helping clients make greater use of digital accounting and real-time financial information
• Managing your own workload and ensuring deadlines are consistently achieved
• Supporting and coaching less experienced members of the team
• Developing strong relationships with clients and responding to their day-to-day requirements
• Taking on broader responsibilities as your experience and career develop

Profile

The successful candidate is likely to have at least two years'' experience within an accountancy practice and could be qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.

You may be:

• ACA or A You may be: CCA qualified or part-qualified
• AAT qualified and looking to progress further
• Qualified by experience with strong general practice skills
• Experienced in accounts preparation for owner-managed businesses
• Comfortable preparing VAT, corporation tax and self-assessment returns
• Familiar with IRIS or similar accounts and tax software
• Experienced with Xero, QuickBooks and/or Sage
• Confident managing your own workload and meeting deadlines
• Comfortable supporting or coaching more junior colleagues
• Client focused, approachable and a strong communicator
• Keen to develop your technical skills and progress with a growing practice
