Qualified Occupational Therapist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a well-established adult social care team. The purpose of the role is to deliver person-centred functional assessments and therapeutic interventions, grounded in clinical occupational therapy practice, in line with social care legislation and local government requirements. Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users'' physical, psychological, and environmental needs.Provide functional analysis and implement therapeutic interventions to promote independence.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care planning and delivery.Monitor and review outcomes of intervention plans and adjust accordingly.Advise service users and their families/carers on adaptive strategies and equipment.Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, reports, and documentation.Undertake assessments of individuals who may have been waiting up to 18 months, managing expectations sensitively and professionally.Promote safe access and mobility within the home environment.Contribute to safeguarding and risk assessment procedures where required.Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years'' post-qualification experience as an Occupational TherapistExperience working with Adult Services, including physical disabilities (PD clients)Moving and handling experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of occupational therapy within a social care settingKnowledge of community-based social care frameworks and housing adaptationsExperience with complex caseloads and long-waiting ..... full job details .....
