Qualified Accounts Senior
An established and growing accountancy practice is looking to appoint an ACA or ACCA qualified Accounts Senior to join its Stamford office.

The Opportunity
As an Accounts Senior, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, supporting their compliance requirements while building long-term relationships and delivering an exceptional client experience. You will work closely with managers and partners, gaining exposure across accounts, tax and wider advisory services, providing excellent scope for professional and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines
- Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities
- Supporting the timely completion of financial statements and tax compliance requirements
- Preparing schedules to support personal and corporate tax returns
- Completing VAT returns
- Attending client meetings and building strong, trusted relationships
- Ensuring assignments are delivered within budget and agreed timescales
- Supporting workflow management and resource planning across the team
- Reviewing work and assisting with the development of junior colleagues
- Maintaining high standards of technical compliance and client service
About YouThe successful candidate will have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice environment
- Strong accounts preparation experience across a range of business entities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Good IT skills and experience of accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to client service
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required
