Overview

QHSE Manager - Location: Theale, UK; Job Type: Full-time; Annual Salary: £50k - £70k. We are seeking a QHSE Manager to lead the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental function across all UK sites. This role involves implementing the Corporate QHSE Roadmap, ensuring legal compliance, promoting best practices, and driving continuous improvement in health, safety, quality, and environmental management systems. The QHSE Manager will act as a strategic partner to site leadership, fostering a proactive QHSE culture and aligning local practices with corporate standards and national/international regulations.Responsibilities

Oversee the collection and analysis of site-level QHSE data to monitor key performance indicators, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.Support the evaluation of current QHSE capabilities across UK sites and contribute to the development of local teams through targeted training and skills development initiatives.Ensure the effective implementation of QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems that meet both legal requirements and internal standards.Liaise with regulators, customers, and supply chain partners to ensure ongoing compliance, support inspections, and represent the company on QHSE matters.Oversee local environmental management including permitting, legal register, data submissions, and compliance with applicable environmental laws.Develop and manage emergency response procedures for UK sites in line with corporate guidelines and local regulatory requirements.Champion a positive health and safety culture across the UK, leading local engagement initiatives and delivering QHSE-related training to improve awareness and accountability.Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with QHSE standards, identify risks and areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.Champion innovation and sustainability within QHSE practices across UK operations.Required Skills and Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, Engineering, or related field.NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent QHSE certification preferred.Proficient in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BRC Storage and Distribution, Organic Standard systems; experience using QHSE and KPI reporting platforms.Minimum 7 years in QHSE leadership roles within industrial, manufacturing, or multi-site environments, preferably in an international organisation.Demonstrates strategic leadership, excellent communication, problem-solving, collaboration, regulatory knowledge, and change management skills.Benefits
