QHSE Manager
We are currently working with an established fabrication client who is looking to appoint an experienced-QHSE Manager-to lead and develop their Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive QHSE professional with a strong background in-fabrication, steel profiling, structural steel, or a similar engineering/manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the QHSE function, ensuring the company continues to meet legislative, customer and industry requirements while driving a strong culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of-Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE)-across the business.
- Develop, implement and maintain QHSE policies, procedures and management systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and customer requirements.
- Carry out regular-site inspections, audits and risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Monitor and improve quality standards throughout the fabrication and production processes.
- Work closely with production and management teams to promote a positive-health and safety culture.
- Manage and maintain relevant QHSE documentation, records and reporting.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure actions are completed effectively.
- Provide QHSE training, guidance and support to employees at all levels.
- Monitor environmental performance and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
- Track QHSE KPIs and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Drive a culture of-continuous improvement, accountability and best practice.
About You
We are looking for an experienced QHSE professional who understands the challenges of a busy manufacturing or engineering environment.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in a-QHSE / HSEQ / SHEQ management role.
- Previous experience within-fabrication, steel profiling, structural steel, engineering or a similar manufacturing environment.
- A strong understanding of health & safety legislation and environmental requirements.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with both shop-floor and senior management teams.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to QHSE.
- Relevant QHSE qualifications such as-NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO Lead Auditor-or equivalent would be advantageous.
