QHSE Manager, Poole

Rubicon’s client is an innovative manufacturing business based in Poole. They are looking for a QHSE Manager to join their leadership team and work closely with the CEO to embed a strong, proactive culture around Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE). This is a critical role where you’ll have the opportunity to influence change and growth within the company.
As QHSE Manager, you will take ownership of all QHSE policies, systems, and procedures across the business. You’ll lead improvements of the manufacturing processes, supplier quality performance, compliance frameworks, and internal behaviours, ensuring that QHSE is embedded into every level of the organisation.
You’ll be a champion for safety and quality, a trusted partner to leadership, and a visible force in shaping a world-class operational culture. You’ll also benefit from 25 days holiday + BH, 5% pension contribution, life insurance cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes through root cause and trend analysis
- Drive supplier onboarding, assessment, and performance monitoring for improved supply chain quality.
- Develop, review, and implement QHSE policies aligned with legal and industry standards.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Identify and mitigate risks within manufacturing and operational processes.
- Provide engaging, practical training and education on safety and compliance.
- Investigate incidents and non-conformances; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records for audits, compliance, incidents, and QHSE activities.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all required documentation is submitted on time.
- Inspire and influence a strong QHSE culture across all levels of the organisation.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a QHSE Manager (or similar role) in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant HSE and quality legislation and ISO standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to train, lead, influence, and challenge constructively across all levels.
- Qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make high-impact decisions with minimal supervision.
