A cutting-edge technology business in the energy and defence sector is seeking a QH&S Engineer to drive excellence across quality systems, safety, and compliance. Supporting a facility undergoing ramp-up in the production of battery cells and modules, this role is critical to embedding a robust quality framework aligned to ISO9001 and broader IMS standards.
The QH&S Engineer will:
- Implement and maintain QMS aligned to ISO9001 and Defence Quality standards.
- Drive site health, safety, and environmental compliance; work towards ISO 14001 & 45001.
- Conduct audits, manage certification processes, and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Oversee incoming goods inspection and manage supplier quality activities.
- Integrate quality monitoring across production and analyse KPIs to ensure performance.
- Lead non-conformance investigations and chair Material Review Board (MRB) meetings.
The QH&S Engineer will have:
- Degree in engineering or a science-related discipline.
- Previous experience with working within ISO accredited environment, within manufacturing or defence.
- Certified Lead Quality Auditor and NEBOSH/IOSH qualified.
- Extensive experience in quality assurance and HSE compliance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with Skytrust platform is desirable.
- Analytical, proactive, and able to drive improvement initiatives independently.
