QC Technician - Warrington

£14.01 per hour | 37.5 hours per week | Minimum 12-month contract | Immediate Start

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced QC Technician to join a leading manufacturing and laboratory environment based in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role within a highly regulated, quality-driven operation. The successful candidate will support quality control activities, maintain laboratory standards, perform routine testing, and ensure compliance across ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and DNA forensic ISO 18385 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control testing on intermediate and finished goods in line with established procedures.
• Maintain excellent laboratory housekeeping, including cleaning duties and managing consumable supplies.
• Complete batch review of QC documentation for bulk, intermediate and finished goods.
• Perform routine instrument calibrations and maintain calibration schedules.
• Train colleagues in QC processes and calibration tasks (once competent), ensuring training records are updated.
• Contribute to process improvements, development projects and the resolution of quality issues.
• Support the team by acting as the process owner for laboratory housekeeping and supply maintenance.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor''s degree in a relevant life sciences discipline or equivalent laboratory/QC experience.
• Previous experience in a laboratory, manufacturing or QC environment.
• Knowledge of PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail, good documentation skills, and the ability to follow strict procedures.
