Job Description: QC Inspector for Plastic Molding – 2nd shiftLocation: Oxford, CTPosition: Quality Control (QC) Inspector – Plastic MoldingJob Summary: The QC Inspector for Plastic Molding is responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of plastic molded products through visual, dimensional, and functional inspections. The role involves working with production teams to identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Responsibilities

Inspect Plastic Molding Products: Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of molded plastic parts, ensuring they meet the required specifications.Conduct Testing: Use appropriate measuring instruments and testing equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) to verify the accuracy of molded parts.Document and Record Findings: Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and any non-conformances. Report issues to the Quality Control Manager or relevant personnel.Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions.Maintain Inspection Equipment: Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and in good working condition.Quality Audits: Conduct regular quality audits and support internal audits and customer audits as required.Support Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, improving production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.Compliance with Standards: Ensure that all plastic molded products comply with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and management teams to ensure consistent quality across all manufacturing processes.Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalentProven experience (1-3 years) in quality control or inspection in a plastic molding or manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of plastic molding processes and industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, etc.).Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) and quality testing procedures.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Knowledge of quality control software (e.g., SPC) and computer proficiency is a plus.Requirements
