Python Developer Location: London or Ipswich - Office based Start Date: ASAP Contract Rate: 420 per day inside IR35 Duration: 12 months initially Role Overview Our client is seeking a Python Developer to develop and maintain automation solutions, backend services, and tooling supporting large-scale telecom network operations. Working closely with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams, you will build REST APIs, automation scripts, and data-driven applications that improve testing, monitoring, and operational efficiency across 5G and enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and scripts for network testing, data processing, and operational workflows. Build RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI. Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis. Develop and maintain Docker-based applications and environments. Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD. Write Linux shell scripts and manage deployments on Linux servers. Integrate with telecom network systems and APIs for validation, monitoring, and health checks. Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling solutions. Collaborate with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable automation solutions. Skills and Experience Essential: 4+ years of Python development experience in automation or backend development. Experience building REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
