SRG are delighted to once again be partnered with one of Scotland''s leading science start-ups who have multiple sites across the West of Scotland. 2026 is forecast to be an exciting year of growth for this organisation following on from a successful fundraise in 2025.

They are currently recruiting for a number of graduate/entry-level chemists to join their high-volume chemical purification team.

The Role

As a Purification Technician you will work alongside the wider team on purification workflows using Flash Chromatography and Prep-HPLC. You''ll handle sample preparation, solvent evaporation, vialling, and data interpretation while playing an active role in process optimisation and laboratory development.

You''ll also work closely with the wider organisation to ensure the purification and production process is fully optimised and operating at full efficiency.

The Right Person

Essential

  • HNC or above in chemistry, applied sciences or similar
  • Demonstrable previous laboratory experience (in academic or industrial setting)
  • Ability to follow clearly defined procedures
  • Knowledge of lab health and safety procedures
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (day/early/back)

Desirable

  • Operation and/or maintenance of flash chromatography, super critical fluid chromatography or preparative-HPLC systems
  • Experience in industrial environments
