This is an ''in person'' role located in Hartlepool. Our client seeks a highly organised and commercially minded Purchasing Officer to join the Commercial team. Hours of work are Monday-Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm. Role Overview This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, chemicals, equipment, and services to support our operations. You will play a key role in ensuring cost efficiency, maintaining supplier performance, and supporting uninterrupted production while adhering to quality, safety, and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure cost effective procurement of purchasing requirements across the business. Sourcing of raw materials and consumables including identification and approval of suppliers including carrying out audits. Maintaining purchasing procedures and ensuring these are complied with.
