Purchasing and Planning ManagerLocation:Leeds - On Site Salary:DOE About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and proactive Purchasing Manager to lead and develop our Commercial Services office. This department includes purchasing, sales, transport, and general office administration, and you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all functions.You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, overseeing departmental performance, and ensuring business objectives are achieved. This role requires strong leadership, strategic decision-making, and excellent communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the purchasing and planning functions, ensuring business objectives are achieved and customer satisfaction is prioritised.Monitor and manage stock levels and warehousing to ensure goods are available within required timescales while maintaining stockholding at budgeted levels.Lead and support a small team within the commercial officeUtilise and develop forecasting and planning systems to align production and sales requirements and improve accuracy and efficiency.Oversee the sales and transport teams to ensure effective departmental performance.Manage the supply chain to ensure timely availability of goods while minimising excess stock.Maintain and develop quality systems, ensuring all necessary industry standards are consistently achieved.Drive continuous improvement across departmental systems, processes, and procedures, ..... full job details .....
