4233Job Purpose:The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading the LEEVI outsourcing and re-sourcing of components and services with both established and new vendors, ensuring optimal cost of material purchases. This role works alongside global sourcing, cost benchmarking, and strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with the company’s long-term goals.Job Context
The role involves:Leading the local wing of the Purchasing DepartmentDeveloping and implementing procurement strategies and contingency plansRationalizing sources of supply for optimal efficiencyNegotiating and finalizing supplier pricing and termsCoordinating with cross-functional teams (Design, RandD, QA, etc.)Supporting quality initiatives and vendor developmentManaging supplier relationships and performanceMonitoring team KPIs and fostering a high-performance cultureOverseeing QMS and EHS activities related to supply chainDriving cost reduction projects and reporting on KPIsManaging commodity risk and market dynamicsContributing to annual budgeting and cost forecastingMaintaining ERP records and vendor pricingEnsuring compliance with processes and identifying risks/opportunitiesIdentifying and addressing team training needsKey Accountabilities
