A fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join a manufacturing business based in Harlow, Essex with a salary up to £50,000.

Candidates will have previous experience within purchasing or procurement specifically within a manufacturing environment, at a managerial level and be keen to progress in their career.

Role responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager include:Lead and develop the team to ensure efficient sourcing and purchasing operationsDevelop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performanceNegotiate and manage supplier contracts, including pricing, terms, and service level agreementsAnalyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional departments to align procurement activities with organisational goalsMonitor and report on procurement metrics, ensuring compliance and continuous improvementPerson Specification of the Purchasing Manager:Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environmentLeadership skills with the ability to oversee a small teamExcellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with using ERP/MRP software - ideally SAPUp to £50kThis position requires fully onsite presence
