Purchasing Manager - Cornwall (Hybrid) - up to -60,000 + Benefits - REF 2061

I am currently recruiting for a Purchasing Manager to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Cornwall (Hybrid). Salary up to -60,000 + Benefits.

The organisation has been established for over 35 years and has an incredible reputation in the market positioning them as one of the UK''s leading suppliers of their highly specialist products.

To support the ambitious, but realistic growth plans of the business they have created a completely new role within their business and have the need to appoint a Purchasing Manager on a permanent basis.

In this role a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for heading up a purchasing department and will be managing 2 other Buyers as well as being hands on within the role. You will take complete responsibility for Purchasing within the business and will be integral to defining how the department operates. You will be dealing with day to day buying, specifically with regards to imports from their suppliers in Europe and the Far East. This could involve supplier visits from time to time, but isn''t necessary if the travel element doesn''t appeal. The other aspect of the role would be looking at Quality control relating to the non conformance of products that come in and conducting necessary root cause analysis on them to establish the issue and then following up with the supplier to resolve the issue. It''s a very high volume role with circa 20,000 SKU''s.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager or similar
• Previous experience in the Construction, Engineering or Manufacturing sectors
• Experience dealing with Importing

Desirable Requirements:

• MCIPS
• Experience dealing with consumables
