Introduction to the Company
My cleint is a family-owned manufacturing business with over 100 years of history. The group operates across well-known brands and works with suppliers across Europe, China, and the US, offering real exposure to global supply chains.
Role and Responsibilities
- Raise and manage purchase orders
- Expedite materials to keep supply on track
- Track supplier performance and delivery timelines
- Maintain accurate data in Sage-and Excel
- Support supplier reviews and contract tracking
- Assist with stock control and materials planning
- Work closely with internal teams across operations and production
- Support new product activity and supplier onboarding
- Monitor inventory levels and reduce excess stock
- Help maintain SLAs and supplier records
Key Requirements
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a similar role (or relevant degree)
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables)
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Good attention to detail
- Confident working with data and systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
- Sage X3 experience is useful but not essential
- CIPS or working towards it is an advantage
