With a strong track record of consistent expansion and long-standing customer partnerships, the business has built a reputation for being collaborative, agile and solutions-driven.Working with international manufacturing partners across the Far East and Europe they are looking for someone with purchasing experience and a good understanding of flexible or rigid packaging. Previous packaging experience is important, although they will also consider candidates whose relevant knowledge has been gained in a related packaging, supply chain, estimating or commercial role.Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the successful candidate will manage day-to-day purchasing activity and work closely with overseas factories and internal Sales, Logistics and Quality teams. The level of responsibility will reflect the successful candidate''s experience.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day purchasing activity with overseas packaging manufacturers.Obtain, review and evaluate quotations for new and existing products, with particular consideration given to pricing, MOQs and lead times.Place purchase orders and monitor progress through to completion.Support new product development and sourcing ..... full job details .....
