Purchasing Assistant (Temporary - 3 Months)Location: Dover Job Type: Temporary (3 months) Salary: Competitive hourly rate Start Date: ImmediateJob DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business based in the Dover area on a 3-month temporary contract.Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will support the day-to-day procurement function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services while maintaining strong supplier relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the end-to-end procurement processRaise and manage purchase ordersLiaise with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveryAssist with supplier sourcing and pricingMonitor stock levels and support inventory controlResolve supplier queries and delivery issuesSupport internal departments with procurement requirementsMaintain accurate data within SAP/ERP systemsAssist with reporting using ExcelPerson SpecificationPrevious experience in a purchasing or procurement roleExperience using ERP systems (SAP preferred)Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsExcellent communication and organisational skillsAble to prioritise workload and meet deadlinesHigh attention to detailThis is a full time role Monday to Friday with the possible opportunity of Hybrid workingNew Appointments Group, Expertly Matching Employers and Jobseekers since 1975.Before submitting your CV, please take a moment to check the layout, spelling, and grammar.
