Purchasing Assistant

Our client is a very successful, unique, international engineering company who manufacture bespoke machinery for a large portfolio of customers throughout the UK. The operation in Thetford employs 80 dedicated and loyal staff and the company is riding high at the moment with an annual turnover of over 20 million pounds per year. A Purchasing Assistant is required to join the supply chain team ensuring materials, goods, and services are procured efficiently and cost-effectively to meet business requirements Key Responsibilities: Processing purchase orders Supplier liaison Accurate record keeping Stock and inventory management Work closely with production, stores, engineering and accounts Soure alternative suppliers We are looking for someone in a purchasing role from a manufacturing and or engineering environment with knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
