Key Responsibilities of Purchasing Assistant / Buying Assistant / Procurement Coordinator

Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs across the business

Update internal systems with order details

Track orders to ensure timely delivery

Maintain accurate product data based on supplier information

Follow up with suppliers to confirm or amend orders

Research potential vendors and assess supply options

Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure products arrive in good condition

Collaborate with partners, external sales, applications, and engineering teams

Participate in and actively support company initiatives

Utilise the SAP ByDesign system (training provided)



Required Qualifications/Experience for Purchasing Assistant / Buying Assistant / Procurement Coordinator

Previous experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer, or in a similar procurement role

Sound understanding of supply chain procedures

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving

Friendly and professional telephone manner

Excellent organisational skills

Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office

Results-driven, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset


High literacy and numerical ability

Strong organisational and relationship management skills

Ability to act independently and adapt to change

Must be able to travel to Queensborough, daily for the role

Must hold the full rights to work in the UK
