Our client is a well-established and successful business seeking a Purchasing Administrator to join their close-knit procurement team based in Aston.This role would suit a highly organised individual with previous purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships with suppliers.With over 17,000 live product lines and constant stock replenishment requirements, this role requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
The Opportunity Joining an experienced team of four, you will play a key role in ensuring stock availability, maintaining supplier relationships and supporting the smooth running of the purchasing function.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish a long-term career within a stable and supportive business.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing purchase orders and monitoring stock replenishment requirements.
- Chasing suppliers via phone and email to obtain accurate delivery information.
- Updating delivery schedules and supplier information within the ERP system and Excel spreadsheets.
- Reviewing and processing supplier order acknowledgements.
- Sourcing alternative products where required to minimise supply interruptions.
- Monitoring and supporting supplier performance improvements.
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure stock availability and customer requirements are met.
- Providing general administrative support to the procurement team.

- Previous experience within purchasing, procurement, supply chain or stock management.
- Experience working with ERP, MRP or similar business systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive supplier relationships.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A positive, team-focused attitude.

Working ArrangementsThe role is based full-time in the Aston office.Whilst some members of the team currently work on a hybrid basis, the expectation is that the successful candidate will initially work on-site to fully learn the role, integrate into the team and build strong working relationships. Future hybrid working opportunities may be considered once the individual is fully established and performing confidently within the role.
