Role Summary: As a Purchasing Administrator, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and stock levels across allocated categories. You will oversee the full purchasing process – from raising purchase orders and negotiating terms with suppliers through to ensuring goods are delivered on time and accurately recorded.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise, process, and manage purchase orders
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Monitor and review supplier performance
- Negotiate prices and contract terms with suppliers
- Manage stock levels and support effective inventory control
- Update and maintain supplier price files
- Create and maintain product codes in the system
- Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues across the business
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident working with purchase orders and stock systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Confident with numbers and basic maths
- Excellent verbal and written English

- Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience: 1+ year in purchasing or administration (preferred)
