About the Role
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join a busy team in Arbroath. The role is initially offered on a temporary basis for 3 months, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory management
- Supporting the Purchasing Manager with administrative tasks and reporting
- Resolving invoice queries and ensuring timely payment of suppliers
- Updating internal systems and databases with procurement information
- Assisting with sourcing new suppliers and obtaining quotations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a purchasing administrator role is desirable
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
