Sewell Wallis is recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a well-established and expanding business based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that''s been going from strength to strength, offering a stable, friendly working environment and the chance to develop within a supportive finance team.This is a fully office-based role within a busy and collaborative finance department where you''ll take ownership of the purchase ledger function, working closely with the wider finance team and senior management.What will you be doing?Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.Matching, batching and coding invoices, ensuring compliance with company procedures.Preparing and processing supplier payments, including BACS runs.Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.Managing supplier queries, building strong relationships with key contacts.Assisting with month-end processes, including accruals and reporting.Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting and projects.Reviewing and improving processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.Who are we looking for?You''ll have previous experience in a high-volume purchase ledger role.Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.Confident communicator who can liaise effectively across departments and with external suppliers.Proficiency with Excel and experience using a modern accounting ..... full job details .....
