Purchase Ledger Clerk
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will play a key role in managing Purchase Ledger processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.

Description
- Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate data entry into the accounting system.
- Manage payment runs, including preparing and processing BACS payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Handle supplier queries efficiently and maintain strong relationships.
- Assist with month-end closing by ensuring all invoices and payments are accounted for.
- Maintain accurate and organised records of all purchase ledger activities.
- Support the wider accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the purchase ledger function.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
- A strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and accounting principles.
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry or a similar sector.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- An eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in financial records.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes.
- Able to commute to our client''s office in Derby.
