Purchase Ledger Assistant

Sewell Wallis is currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a successful Industrial Services business based in Barnsley (South Yorkshire).The business is well known in its field and operates nationally. They pride themselves on their supportive and inclusive culture, and the role will be joining their friendly and experienced finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger professional who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and is available to start immediately. What will you be doing?Processing, matching, and coding high volumes of supplier invoices. Reconciling supplier statements regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies.Handling supplier queries via phone and email in a professional manner.Preparing payment runs (BACS).Assisting with month-end ledger closures and ad hoc finance administration.Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required.What skills are we looking for?1-2 years of experience within an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role.Confidence working within a high-volume invoice processing environment.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a busy finance function.What''s on offer?A competitive salary Supportive, collaborative and friendly finance team.Immediate start opportunity.
