DBS: Enhanced DBS required (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
We are looking for caring and dedicated Pupil Support Assistants to join primary schools across Liverpool, providing vital one-to-one and small group support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
This is a rewarding role where you will help pupils access the curriculum, develop social skills, and thrive in an inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individual pupils with SEN, including those with autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)
Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning and behaviour support plans
Help pupils engage positively with their learning and peers
Support the development of independence and confidence in pupils
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and families
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two professional references
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Good communication and teamwork skills
