Pump Fitter

Nelson Permanent Placements are looking for an experienced Pump Fitter to join a busy and growing engineering company working across a range of industrial sectors. This is a hands-on workshop role involving the repair, inspection, dismantling and assembly of industrial pumps. The successful candidate will join a friendly and professional team with excellent long-term career opportunities. To be considered for this role as a Pump Fitter you will have: Previous experience working as a Pump Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or within an engineering workshop - prefably time served as an apprentice Good knowledge of industrial pumps and rotating equipment Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical information Experience using measuring and testing equipment Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Ability to work on your own and as part of a team Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Engineering apprenticeship or relevant experience preferred Tool room or workshop experience would be an advantage Good understanding of health and safety procedures The key responsibilities of this role as a Pump Fitter are: Dismantling, inspecting and repairing industrial pumps Assembling pumps ready for installation Producing clear inspection reports and identifying faults Reading engineering drawings and technical specifications Carrying out quality checks using measuring equipment Following workshop procedures and health and safety standards ..... full job details .....
